3Tac places impressive neon installation on building University of Tilburg
University now has a large name description on the Koopmans building as well.

The Koopmans building of the University of Tilburg needed a new name description and they have gone big. The result is therefore worth seeing.

The University of Tilburg is an inspiring university: she offers an environment where students, employees and alumni are being challenged and inspired. She is authentic, regards academic freedom highly and continuously strives for innovation.
That the University of Tilburg continuously is looking for new innovation can even be seen in the exterior of the University. They have chosen for a brand new neon installation for the KoopmansBuilding. The measurements are huge, the building itself is a whopping 55 meters high, the total installation is 25 meters wide and reaches a height of 4,5 meters at its highest point.
Where 3Tac has fitted a different building with a facade construction in an earlier stage, now a roof construction has been chosen. In regards to the illumination of the neon a different technique has also been chosen while the charisma of both installations could be called similar.

On account of the height and the size of the installation, with respect to the wind load and the required lifting capacity, a construction calculation was necessary. During assembly 3Tac had fenced of the whole working area and used a crane to lift the pre-assembled parts. Given the activity around the University and the safety of bystanders, it was decided to install this imposing structure on the weekend.
Very recently the sign company from Oss has also placed three stainless steel text as commissioned by the University. Inside two texts, consisting of un-lightened stainless steel letters, are placed. Outside it consists of a text fitted with LED-lighting, constructed from stain less steel high polished single box letters.
